HOW MANY INVITATIONS TO ORDER

NO. OF HOUSEHOLDS = TOTAL GUEST COUNT x 60%
  • Couples, married and unmarried, residing or not residing together are considered (1) household

But wait... what exactly is a household? Well we're here to break it down for you.

For those of you who are in a rush, here's a quick formula for estmates:

Okay now let's breakdown households.

A household consists of a group of individuals that are part of the same party. Most commonly, this refers to couples and families.

  • Families are considered (1) household with a few exceptions.
  • Children who are over 18-years old with parents who are attending are considered their own household (even if they still live at home)
  • Single guests, with or without a plus one, are their own household
  • Single guests living together (aka roommates) are each their own household and should get their own invitation
It happens from time to time that the post office will return a suite (due to an incorrect address) or may lose a suite. We therefore recommend ordering a few extras (5-10) to resend or to invite a few extra guests that were not on your original guest list!
